The cover reminded me of a horror book that I enjoyed in my teenage years, "Long Lankin." It was spooky, and creepy and you could just tell from the very first page that deliciously dastardly things were going to befall the protagonists. This book is very similar in that you can just taste the suspense in the air, the tension virtually boiling over in the very first chapter. How this suspense ends will be a major pleasure to read.
