'The Woman Inside' had a lot of features I enjoy in books. There was a minimum of main characters and the storyline was fairly straightforward. The chapters were very short which helps me keep reading through the book. There was some romance in the book but not too much and a child character, which I always enjoy. The characters and subplots intertwined nicely with short interviews and news articles interspersed to heighten the anticipation. However, I feel like the ending was a bit of a let down. I'm sitting here reviewing characters and their intentions and their motives and wondering if I missed something. But I would recommend the book to someone who likes standard thrillers with a bit of romance. I give this book four stars. Thanks to BOOKishFIRST and Celadon for putting this ARC in my hands. Go out and buy a copy on June 13th, 2023.
