Scandinavian Noir titles are some of my favorite books to read. The premise of the book was full of intrigue; however, the characters were less than what I expected. I found most of them were basically non-functioning - each in a different way, but I couldn't imagine that a novel could be so inundated. Not one seemed to me to fully engaged in life. They did play their individual lives well and communicated their perspectives most of the time.

I found the ending totally implausible. Why would the police simply not do their due diligence in the case. There was no justification for the fingerprints in the bedroom. There were so many holes. Could these three involved really not reveal what actually occurred? I had so many questions at the conclusion.

I do look forward to another title by the author; I would just like it to be more realistic and relatable.
