Wow! As soon as I started this book, I was hooked. In the beginning, several seemingly unrelated characters are introduced. Once I got used to the switching between each character, I got the flow.
Bill is a widower raising a young daughter, Sally. He has developed bad habits regarding money and must take on a border-Karla to help pay the bills. Karla works as a house cleaner for Steven and Regina and is a law student. Jennica is Steven’s mistress that Regina isn’t supposed to know about. To keep his secret safe, Steven keeps Regina drugged at home while he works as a pediatrician and dates Jennica. In an attempt to help Bill with his cash flow (and gambling)issues, she steals from Regina and Steven. The whole story is like a snowball that is uncontrollably rolling down a hill. In the end, who can you trust?
