Just a classic thriller

Yeah, yeah. There were twists and turns throughout the story. No one is what they seem to be, we get it.
Honestly, I found this quite predictable. It's the typical "everyone is twisted, who is really in the right" situation employed by many psychological thriller authors. Even in the first half of the book, I kinda had an idea that this was going to happen.
They did pull the suspense off well, although the pace of the book was a bit too slow for my liking. It wasn't bad, though. Kudos to the author for a job well done here!
I also liked that this was set in Sweden. It provided a somewhat interesting view, set away from the monotony of American settings. It's nice to have some variation, you know?
However, this kind of is the classic thriller-type plot line. A seemingly normal main character, controlling husband, sick wife. So while the setting was somewhat unique, everything else was the same old vanilla thriller plot line.
