This book reminds me of verity by Colleen Hoover. The story has multiple povs, along with police interviews and newspaper articles. This book was very predictable. Short chapters is a plus. I had to come back to it several times. It was a slow read. Karla is a student cleaning a house for a sick wife and a cheating husband. She rents a room from a widower and his child but can’t tell him that she is renting a room from them. The cheating husband is making his wife sick. I believe the husband suffered from Munchausen by proxy. If you did not want to be with your wife just divorce her. As I said this book was predictable. While I appreciate the attempt of the author but the book bored me. Thank you bookish first and celeadon for the opportunity to read and provide my honest opinion on this book. I do not think that I can recommend this book to anyone I know. As I did not enjoy it myself.
