The Woman Inside
There is a lot going on in this book and a lot of characters. Let me see if I can accurately describe it.
Bill is a down-on-his-luck widower with a young daughter. He needs some extra income, so he puts an add out and Karla responds. Karla is a law student who also does cleaning for some extra cash.
Karla cleans for Steven, a wealthy pediatrician, and his wife Regina. But the more Karla visits their house, the more sinister their relationship seems.
Jeneca works for a psychic-medium hotline and she is dating Steven. She is also a former best friend of Bill’s late wife.
So you see, a lot going on. It was hard to keep everyone straight at first, I had to remind myself how everyone was related.
This book felt eerily similar to The Housemaid by Frieda McFadden. A lot of the plot was the same, in my opinion.
Overall, it was good but I couldn’t help feeling like I’d read it before so it was a little stale for me.
