I started out reading this book thinking that the main character was going to be boring but it turned out that nobody in this book could be trusted. I thought the author did an excellent job drawing you in and making you like the characters and then just when you thought you knew what was happening, he sprung the trap. Even the most minute characters turned out to have a twisted backstory. I enjoyed the first book, A Nearly Normal Family and knew I wanted to read this book as well. I think this is going to be an author to watch and I look forward to more books from him. He is able to create characters that seem like real people and twist them into people that leaves you hoping that there are not people out there like that. I found the story to be fast paced and it kept me guessing all the way until the end. I am still thinking about this book days after finishing it.
