I first discovered M. T. Edvardsson through A Nearly Normal Family. The mystery and intrigue of the characters in that novel carried the story; there was always a question of deception at each turn. Prior to diving into The Woman Inside, I questioned if I would find the same layers of deception as we explored the characters. By the novel's end, when all is revealed, the reader must wonder "how does Edvardsson do it?" What hints did we miss or not pick up on that would have revealed the ending to us earlier? There's an element of surprise with the final few chapters that you just cannot see coming - and this is exactly what makes the reader continue reading page after page. Any mystery or thriller that keeps you guessing until the end is one worth reading and one worth recommending to a friend. It is also one where you start waiting for the author's next one.
