A lot of plot twists and turns in this fast-paced read kept me reading. I finished the book the same day it arrived. The writing is crisp, the characters interesting, although some are not as completely drawn as others, making the reveal interesting but less satisfactory than it could have been.

Told from the view point of three of the main characters, the shifting narration was easy to follow. These narratives are interspersed with police reports, suspect interviews, and newspaper stories about the deaths of married couple Steven and Regina. The deaths open the novel and the how, why, and who are not revealed until close to the end. I didn't see the end coming (and I often do), so the surprise was fun.

If you like mysteries, you'll enjoy this book. This novel has a very small amount of blood/gore, so if you, like me, prefer sanitized death in your novels, you should be okay with this book.

I received a free copy of the book in return for an unbiased review.
