Umm this excerpt was unputdownable! I haven't gotten a chance to read A Nearly Normal Family but it has skyrocketed to the top of my TBR. I was immediately pulled in by Officer Larsen's memo and the circumstances of the murders. Then we're thrown back in time to a new cleaning lady. I like how easily it is to navigate the before and after timelines. I'm getting a bit of a Mr. Rochester feel with the wife being "sick." Intrigued! The cover doesn't do anything for me, it's kind of bland.
