The story begins with a police report, which sets the atmosphere--and my interest--in motion. The scene is painted and the suspense is set rather quickly, which is always a plus. I can't decide if I like the cover art or not. It actually catches my attention, but I'm uncertain if it's because it's different, or because it, along with the title, piques my interest.
