The Wives centers around a strong group of women who are all intertwined because of being spouses to military men. As someone who has no affiliation to military I was still drawn to this story because first, it's a memoir. Second, the core group of characters are a strong bunch. I loved how the women even though they are all so different they can still relate to each other. When it's all said and done you truly can't go at it alone in life. You need someone to help you get through the day. Now add the stress of dealing with your loved one in danger overseas, crazy. The Wives told a story that any woman can relate to even if you are not a military spouse. I was very surprised and intrigued by the events that unfolded in this book. A true story worthy of being read. Thank you bookish first for the copy of the Wives. This review is my own personal opinion
