This was a very interesting and entertaining memoir. It was nice to hear about all of the people and experiences of the author came across during her time as an army wife. The story was just as entertaining and fun as several episodes of a season of the TV show Army Wives that I really loved. I was happy that the book ended with a sum up of what happened to the author and all of the other wives who touched her life.
I could relate to a lot of the experiences she had because I was engaged for over a year to an army private as he went through basic training. I remember going to army events, meeting wives and girlfriends and kids of other soldiers. I had to be separated from him for weeks and we had conversations over the phone when he was in a crowded barracks. I could hear the other guys in the background. I was there with his mother and sister when we picked him up when he came home. Things didn't work out between us but I totally appreciate what any military family deals with to keep our country safe. Thank you.
