4.5 stars for this one, I was honestly not expecting this story to take me on such a gripping journey. I've never known much on the subject on military families, so this definitely taught me something new. This memoir greatly interested me because this isn't a topic I see often, so I immediately wanted to learn more.

I've honestly never considered the lives of military wives. They aren't fighting but their lives are greatly changed by it. This story really shows how military wives are often they're their husband's support systems, while the wives are left with nobody for themselves.

I love how this story easily demonstrates the human ability to form relationships and find solace within each other, even when they seem to share nothing in common but their husbands. From the moment I saw the words, "I would leave you," I knew she wouldn't be holding back, even if it was depressing or sad.

This story flows easily, like a novel, and a greatly appreciate Simone for that, because I despise having to drag my way through hard-to-read memoirs.
