It usually takes me a lot to get into memoirs but this book is written so beautifully and well done that it reads like a novel! After reading just a few chapters I was hooked! This book is very similar to the show army wives so if you loved that series I recommend picking this book up!
I think getting to see the connections that these woman make while their husbands are a way and how they lean on each other in the hardest of hard times is absolutely beautiful.
Seeing these friendships blossom even though there were hard times was nice. This author has a way with words that makes you feel as if you are there experiencing the same emotions.
I recommend to anyone who’s husband is actively in the military or has already retired! I think it would be easy for someone who has gone through similar situations to actively appreciate this book and the depths of honesty that this author has shared with her readers.
