I think I am more interested in reading more from the perspective of the husband. It feels like the husband is using the military as a way to find purpose which is messy having read the perspective of those on other side of war/us military. Also, his decision feels selfish as much as it is supposed to be selfless. It could be a thought provoking book in certain ways but will it be a book for me.
