I only read fiction, so while this isn't my thing, I can see how other people would appreciate this. I liked the first line (a quote from "Midnight Train to Georgia"): "I’d rather live in his world than live without him in mine." That was a powerful line that will likely capture the attention of many right off the bat. Based on what I saw in this first section of the book, there's a lot of dialogue and that always helps with keeping readers engaged. I also liked the prevalence of dates to keep everything organized in my head.
