Having lived the life of a military spouse to a husband who has served for 23 years, this is a type of book that doesn't interest me. I've seen so many wive cliques, stigmas, biases, lies, and pettiness from other military spouses that I steer clear from all things dealing with them. They tend to see and tell things from their perspectives rather than the whole truth of the story. I rather stick to my civilian friends. Are deployments hard, yes. Is the life of a miliary spouse hard, yes. But are they book-worthy? No.
