I like a memoir and have enjoyed several recently by indie authors. Though I have no connection to military life, 'The Wives' by Simone Gorrindo is now on my TBR list. Simone's transition from New York City to small town military base life interests me. I like stories of women learning to be independent while part of the fabric of a larger life including spouses, family and friends. After reading the excerpt, I will give this book 4 stars as I'm not sure I will enjoy the political details the book may include, but I would love to give the book a read anyway.
