I spent a decade as a submarines wife. As someone who has experienced deployments, giving birth alone and the "wives club" I went into this book thinking there's no way she can truly capture how horrible it can be... thankfully I was wrong. Within the first few pages I found myself relating to everything. Although most of the wives I met weren't the best, it'd basically a high school clique on steroids. The gossip and claws are always on display. It was really nice hearing someone else's perspective on being a military spouse. If you ever watched the show Army Wives you'll definitely love this.
The cover is pretty but I wish it had a little more of a military feel to it just to catch the attention of us ex/current military wives. If I saw this on the bookshelf I would never think it was military related and wouldn't have picked it up to read the synopsis.
