I love a book that draws me in not only with a compelling story and characters that bring that story to life, but also opens the doors to a new way of seeing and understanding a wold that I was not aware of. These are all traits that Simone Gorrindo uses combined with vivid prose style that draws you in and makes you feel like close friend catching up with her over a cup of coffee. With an honesty that is in terms inspiring in its creativity and thought provoking in its awareness, this book made me pause to consider what I would do or think in her place. What more can you ask from a memoir? And yes, I want to read more of her life and her husbands service. Thank you Simone for helping me understand so much more clearly what the term A Life of Service means not just to those serving but for their spouses as well!
