When I first saw the cover for “The Wives,” I was immediately struck by the moody vibe it gave off. The cover felt fitting, given the emotional heaviness of the book. However, from the First Look, the author is able to recount her heavy experiences with a light touch. I’m sure Gorrindo will recount difficult times as the book continues, but I feel like she will guide us gently through these moments. I definitely feel prepared to continue on based on what I read thus far!
