Our military families sacrifice so much to serve our country. We always praise those serving, but oftentimes forget about the wives, the backbone of the military family structure. The women are the ones left at home to pick up the pieces of the temporarily fractured family unit. They raise the children, pay the bills, take care of the home, all while striving to keep the family unit intact. A difficult journey which often goes underappreciated and unacknowledged. I don't typically read a lot of memoirs, but my heart is drawn to this one! I come from a family of many who served and would love to read this touching memoir.
