Many thanks to St. Martin’s Press and BookishFirst for this ARC. I don’t read a lot of books written by multiple authors but this duo hit a grand slam with this thriller. Anytime a book proclaims to leave the reader guessing I immediately become skeptical. This book really does leave you guessing and if, by some chance, you figure it out you won’t be disappointed because there are turns after the twists. This book deals with quite a few hard topics.... gaslighting, abuse, stalking, infertility to name a few. But it was oh so good!! This book definitely stands out on its own.
I’m always leery of books that try to compare themselves to other big hits, but honesty, this one blows the others out of the water with the amount of twisty turns it takes. Halfway through when the authors reveal what was happening the first half you think ahhh ok, I get it, only to hit another turn that again, once you think you know where the story is going they hit you with another twist. It really keeps the pace going and the pages turning! You won’t want to put it down.
