A relatively well written book that follows the life of an ex-wife as she navigates her newly single life while watching her ex-husband move on with someone new. The reader will be transported between present time and past, only adding to the confusion of who is truthful and who is not.
As the story goes on it is evident that it will be a complex story full of twists and turns where the reader is left guessing what will happen next. This book explores the dynamics and complexities of family, friends, love and lust. As the book progresses, the reader will doubt whether they actually know what is happening. Who they thought was good, may not be and who they thought was bad may not be. Can the main character trust anyone, even herself?
The story definitely started as a slow burn for me but partway through it picked up and then I was hooked. I recommend it.
