As the book begins, we learn that Vanessa is the ex-wife of Richard and is troubled and broken. She is following his soon to be wife. Nellie is excited to become Richard’s wife. He’s the best thing that’s ever happened to her. At first, I thought I was reading something similar to the movie “Sleeping With the Enemy” but this suspenseful novel and some twists that just blow your mind away, not once, not twice but numerous times. Never assume you know what you are reading to be the truth. As the story unfolds, it became more intense. I couldn’t put the book down. But as it begins to unravel and reach the climax, there was a part that just didn’t fit (seemed not totally thought out). I wasn’t happy with that part and then another twist got me again. Very good story, very good writing and I would have given five stars except for the one plot point. Must read though.
