This thriller had everything you would want in a book. It’s a fast paced read with enough twists and turns to keep your head spinning for days afterwards. Oftentimes I felt like I knew what was happening, but assume nothing. I had heard that going into this book but nothing prepared me for all the turns this book takes. This book is for anyone who loves a book that has a million twists and turns and keeps you interested the whole way through.
We follow the path of both Vanessa who was recently divorced from Richard and stalking her son replacement, Nelly. Vanessa obviously has deep rooted resentment for her ex and her soon to be replacement and also has a lot of depression and seemingly other issues as well. Nelly has it all the perfect husband to be and a wonderful job and not a care in the world. Richard is sweeping her off her feet buying her a house in the suburbs what else could she want? It is only slightly annoying when her friends and family tell her she’s moving too fast and worry she is losing herself in the process. She’s always nervous and worrying that someone is following her, because someone is. Something happened to her when she was in college that will never let Nelly be the same.
Then the TWIST.
