I am horrible at figuring out the twists in books, but particularly thrillers with unreliable narrators. The two twists in this book were both successful--I just wish the last one got a little more closure.

(spoilers)

Throughout part 1 we're led to believe that Vanessa is the jealous wife attempting to sabotage the relationship between her ex, Richard, and her "replacement," Nellie. The warped timeline reveal was great and my interest was even more piqued for parts 2 and 3.

Like I mentioned earlier, the second twist reveal definitely came out of left field. I had surmised that the family of Maggie would be involved but I didn't expect it to be Emma. Both of these writers worked extremely well together, the book was seamless and a quality mystery/thriller.

Overall, I enjoyed THE WIFE BETWEEN US. It was an easy, entertaining read, and following in the footsteps of Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train, I imagine it will be a successful movie adaptation.
