I’m on the edge of my seat! This book and its vivid detail grasps the reader immediately. Who can’t rememver a love so perfect, the longing when it’s over and the jealousy of the love moving on? Each paragraph makes you crave the next, desperate to hear Vanessa’s past with Richard and the courting and future of Nellie, his fiancée. You feel sorry for Vanessa, though pieces of her story reveal a trouble woman whose shortcomings include alcoholism, in dominant and infertility. On the contrary, you see Nellie, so young and vibrant, so full of zest and life, it’s no wonder he ended his marriage and is pursuing this new life. But lurking in the back of my mind, I know there is more to this story.... I have to read the rest!
