I read this one as a buddy read with a thriller group on Instagram, I was wanting to read it for some time.
It was alright, three stars.
I found the POV to be a bit confusing at first. I hated the husband right from the get go.
Part one was ok and a lot of detail and back story.
Part two is where the action came and it got good. The wife realizes she’s with a narcissist and he tricks her, manipulative personality. Totally wrecks the wife and her well being. She’s a preschool teacher loving life, finds him and then it tumbled from there.
The ending was a shock.
I didn’t care for the domestic violence, it’s definitely a trigger and it was hard for a lot of the people in the group as well.
