Written to be a thrilling and exciting, Gone Girl - esque novel, The Wife Between Us leaves no space between the reader and the story. Well developed characters drive the fast paced plot through and around the twists that leave you second guessing your own opinions, as well as your recollection. You get an unreliable narrator, heart stopping plot twists, and a conclusion you don't see coming. Personally, I also appreciate the writing style. The details in the novel function to push it forward, not drag the reader into oblivion. There's just enough to keep you hooked, without giving away so much that you can figure everything out. It also isn't a confusing story either; the authors did a spectacular job at co-writing this novel. The Wife Between Us is certainly a bang up way to kick of 2018.
