I really wanted to enjoy this one! Truly! It seemed like a great thriller until around the middle of part two. Then bam, the author kinda lost me. I honestly felt like I’ve read this story before...
it reminded me of Gone Girl in a plot twist way BUT didn’t have the aha moment I wanted. Instead, I was confused. Scratching my head and trying to put it together. The author has three parts and each part left me flipping pages to discover what happened previously.
The characters were juicy and had the right motives. But I struggled with the who, what, when, where and why.
I recommend this story to anyone wanting to try out a mystery or thriller. This book keeps readers on the edge of their seat at first.
