Don’t miss this psychological thriller but be prepared for some mental whiplash as your brain is forced to switch gears again and again. As the publishers state “3 sides to a marriage, 2 authors to tell it, 1 insanely addictive novel”. Two authors made for a fairly long book but allowed for a slowly detailed winnowing of the psyche of the characters and their backstories. There are a few wives in the story as well as the wife in the title. There is the wife, the exwife, the soon to be wife, the wronged wife from the past, and the girlfriend who didn’t make it to wifehood. I have read and enjoyed one of the author’s books in the past and I think that the collaboration of these two writers was a complete success.
