My book club read this as our very first club selection last year, and we all enjoyed it, which is quite an amazing feat for a book club.
I spent a great deal of time while reading this book asking myself “what!? Huh?! How is that possible?!” In my opinion, that’s the best sort of book to read. I was constantly kept guessing, right up until the very last few pages!

I loved the twist that Vanessa and Nellie were one and the same. I began to suspect it at one point, but the way that the writers made it seem as though the reader was hearing from two different people was amazing. This was a different take on the “unreliable narrator” trope that is so overused in thrillers these days.
