The first chapter opens with a woman waking up and thinking someone is standing by her closet. It is just her wedding dress hanging there. The previous wife has gone from living a life of luxury to living in a room at her aunt's, working in a department store, and drowning her sorrows in wine and sleeping pills. Both women seem to have secrets. The author moves between the ex-wife to the future wife where we learn little bits of info about their past lives and present lives. Is the ex-wife a true stalker? Has the man in their lives duped both of them? We have heard from the two women. Will we here from Richard? Who is good? Who is bad? The preview chapters raise more questions than answers. I want to find out more about these characters.
