I feel like I'm the only person who didn't like it
I truly don't think there is such a thing as a bad book. I think every book has an audience and no author can please every single reader. I can appreciate why some people thought this was great, but it didn't work for me.
I felt like the big twist was so out there and it didn't quite match the theme of the story. It just didn't make a lot of sense to me. I understand what happened, but I don't see the magic that everyone else is seeing. I think I just didn't find the main character to be very likeable, and because of the twist, I think likeability was necessary for a book like this. I did enjoy the dialogue and the setting though - it gave me major creepy vibes, which was appropriate for this book.
