This is a book in which nothing is as it appears. Yes, as the title says, there’s a wife between a man and his wife, but who the reader thinks is the wife, and whether you think that person is good, evil, or crazy, will be turned upside down when the reader reaches the surprising conclusion.
As I never reveal spoilers, that is as much as I can divulge. I admit that about halfway through the book I almost put it aside, thinking (boy was I wrong) that this was the standard woman scorned book. That’s correct, actually, but then I began to figure out the twists, turns, and spins if this darkly captivating book and finished it in one sitting.
