Thank you @stmartinspress for sending me a copy of The Wife Between Us in exchange for my honest review. This book was full of twists and turns, leaving the reader constantly guessing who was manipulating who, who was sane, and what was a character’s underlying motivation. It had plenty of suspense to keep me engaged and intrigued. Vanessa has been dumped by her husband, Richard, for a younger, newer version. The wealthy and comfortable life she knew is gone. Now she must rebuild while dealing with the jealousy of her ex being with another woman. Part One was very cleverly written! At the end of this section, I really wanted to go back and start reading the book from the beginning. In Part Two, you think you realize what is going on and then Part Three arrives and you’re like, ok didn’t see that coming! Only two nit picks... the Epilogue provided one more twist meant to be the cherry on top but without much development, it was unbelievable to me. I would have liked to see this flushed out more throughout the story. Lastly, and I don’t think this is a spoiler, but I needed more background on Richard and Maureen’s family life and relationship. There were things eluded to that could have been really interesting if the reader was provided more details.
