This story reminds me of "The Girl on the Train" by Paula Hawkins. I assume based on the introduction that the similarities are being recognized. This is not my type of book but even so I can see that it is interesting. I like that it starts out giving you the assumptions you will gain from reading even a small portion of the book. This makes me curious about what is going to happen. I am not overly impressed by the writing style. It is very simplistic and to the point. There isn't much description and I was drawn in by the picture being painted. Really I felt like I had seen the picture many times before and was not interested in what happened to the characters beyond this short excerpt. Those who love mystery will likely enjoy it though.
