The style of writing and the way the story unfolded had me hooked. The characters have depth and I am excited to read on. Oddly the narrative is relatable and I could imagine this happening in real life. (I think that says more about me than the novel). I found myself slightly confused and muddled but in a good way - just what I want from a novel like this.
The pace is quite slow which makes the novel feel a little tedious at times but I wonder if that is just to add suspense to the book and make the following chapter feel more pacy. I loved parts of it but there were other bits I felt like skim-reading. I hope that was just me taking a minute to get to grips with the characters and constant change of narrative. Having said that I haven't been put off yet and would be interested to see how the plot develops and what further twists and turns befall the women.
