I devoured this book and thoroughly enjoyed the alternate point of views. The book alternated between the wife and the younger woman who was soon going to get married. Vanessa has been cast aside by her husband Richard. Richard will soon be marrying a younger, seemingly perfect replacement. Vanessa is having a difficult time coming to grips with everything. She lives with her ailing aunt and spends most of her time trying to not drink and keep her job at a department store. Vanessa decides that she must stop Richards wedding at all costs.
The alternate story is of Nellie who is about to be married. She lives with her best friend Sam and is so excited to be married to this perfect man Richard. Everything has to turn out ok right? Richard will protect her from everything.
What unfolds in this story has you enthralled and unable to put this book down. A great read!
