I was excited when The Wife between us first came out because I really really enjoyed the author’s’ first novel, An Anonymous Girl.
Wow! There were so many twists where you’re guessing or assuming as you go along. Let me me put it this way, you’ll be going in blindly at the very beginning until the end. I was okay with this novel, but I prefer An Anonymous Girl over this book.
A lot of you may or may not figure out the last plot/twist. I figured it before I before to the ending hence my three stars. However, I did enjoy reading this novel since the story is divided into parts. First half is being told by Vanessa and the second half is being told by Nellie. They both go in past and present how they’ve met and fallen for Richard. Another character happens to be Emma who’s the present wife of Richard.
I personally don’t like when another character tried to excuse Richard’s horrific behaviors at the end which it’s supposed to be forgiven or excusable. So 3 stars rating from me.
