"I'm not afraid of storms for I'm learning how to sail my ship, well I've never feared bad weather either ... and then my Aunt does one of the bravest things I have ever seen, she smiles."

The Wife Between Us, written by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen, wasn't bad but I was left wanting more. There were several twisty turns in the story that caught me completely off guard; however, I had figured the epilogue about halfway through the book. Several times in the first half of the book small sentences about the past hung there on the page like a teaser for so long that I had built them up in my mind and kept waiting for that real explosive reveal that never ended up coming.

Despite the thrilling piece I found lacking, I really loved the way Greer and Sarah built up "the perfect life". It felt so real even to me as a reader, the characters reacting the way a person would in real life. How the lies and fear break a person and a relationship, very powerful. Despite my three star rating, I would still recommend this book.
