Review: The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen

I finished this book at 3:45 AM on 11/16/2017, and it took until the next day to try and get my thoughts on this book, so that this review could do the book justice. Even now, I have so many emotions, words, thoughts going through my head to try and describe what I finished reading not too long ago and sometimes I just find myself ... speechless. My very first word - first thought - when I closed the book was "Wow." Even now, the word "wow" is still on my lips, about 15 hours later. To avoid any spoilers, I will not mention things in the book (outside of the quote, above), however my impression of the book were those of amazing, spectacular, surprising, mind-bending, fast-paced ..... You are taken on a roller coaster of emotions as you see the story from more than one angle, getting a feel for each person's thought processes, emotions and actions, however just when you think you might have a handle on what is happening, and why, the authors throw in a twist, that leaves you questioning everything you thought you knew and understood. As you continue on this psychological ride, you continue to go through the "I think I get it now" and then another twist all the way to the very last word on the last page. Even the last few pages hit me with things I didn't see coming.
The quote above is in the prologue of the book and it is a thought that one character has about the other, however it could be just as honest - and telling - about the adventure that faces the reader when they crack open this book. The book jacket tells you to "make no assumptions". Truer words could not be written. The best I can suggest is to find a comfortable seat and get ready to enjoy the travels through the lives of the people in this book of dramatic, thriller fiction - and enjoy!
In closing, I wish to say that I received this book as an ARC edition - in Novemer 2017 - in exchange for an honest review (which was originally posted to GoodReads on 11/17/2017) . I wish to thank both the publishers and the authors for the chance to read a most amazing story. In my opinion, one of the *very* best I've read all year!! I give it 5 stars with *no* hesitation! If I could give it more, I would - I was *that* taken with the book!!
