This is another book that has been recommended numerous times to me on book social media platforms. I was eager to read it and glad to see it as one of BookishFirst's selections.

The book preview gives you the first four chapters of the book. It starts out really well. It reminds me a lot of "Girl on the Train," which is a favorite book of mine. It also reminds me of Mary Kubica.....a favorite author of mine, style of writing. Needless to say, I'm quickly drawn into the book!

The first chapters introduce you to the jilted wife, Vanessa, and to Vanessa's ex husband, Richard's fiance, Nellie.

Vanessa's life is drab and depressing, as she's still trying to come to terms with the demise of her marriage. While Nellie's life seems to be just beginning. She's a preschool teacher on the Upper East Side, engaged to handsome hedge fund manager, who seems almost too good go be true........
