I'm always on the trail of a good thriller, so The Wife Between Us was high on my reading list for this fall. Maybe it's just me, but I was confused as I read the book. I was totally engaged at the start, but as it took its twists and turns -- and there are many -- I became lost in the plot. I like a good, sharp thriller and twists and turns are mandatory, but this one twisted and turned too much for me. I felt I needed to make plot notes, which took away from my enjoyment of the book.

I enjoyed the New York City setting and loved the detailed descriptions, but ultimately what many readers will find most engaging -- the plot line -- was what I found least engaging. I had very high hopes for The Wife Between Us, but for me it was disappointing.
