The title and cover of this book scream domestic noir. Anyone who appreciates this subgenre as much as I do will be drawn in immediately, and once you read the first few chapters you will be sucked in permanently.
I really enjoyed the switch in grammatical person between the narratives of the two women. As instructed by the book's description, readers must remember to "assume nothing"; this cautionary advice is very clever from a marketing perspective. I am looking forward to picking up where I left off and definitely counting down the days until the official release. (January seems so far away!)
