This book has an interesting beginning. It hooks the reader right away by making us question the world or situation that we are about to enter, and continues to intrigue us as it goes along. I really liked the way the point of view kept changing between characters as well as the symbolism written throughout and the imagery that the author used. In particular, I liked the use of the same words throughout like plock and the way the sinister image of the television at the beginning seems to haunt us every step of the way as we continue. It is a murder mystery that doesn't feel like the typical thing we expect from such. I found myself looking over my shoulder questioning my own surroundings as I read and not many books are capable of such a thing. It affected me far beyond the pages I was reading. This is exactly the type of bone chilling mysterious story that always leaves me with my jaw on the floor.
