Typical thriller with a not-so-twisty ending

I received my book via Book of the Month Club.

I suppose I'm in the minority as I felt "The Whisper Man" was an underwhelming read. Yes, it definitely had thriller factors, but the majority was subpar twists and chapters that didn't seem to contribute to the plot (i.e., Rebecca's association with the house).

Part 5 was anti-climatic and seemed to tie everything together too quickly. I'm normally not very good at "guessing" the bad guy (emphasis on the NOT, for real) or the twist, but I was pretty close early on (Part 2).

Mostly, I had expected a lot more from this book based on the hype and early reviews. I hope to see more from Alex North and will give another of his books another shot.
